Margate 2015 Election Results. It’s Becker, Amodeo and Blumberg.

The 2015 Margate election results are in. Three commission seats were up for grabs in a very tight race on Tuesday, May 12.

beckerIncumbent Mayor Mike Becker was awarded a third term by Margate voters. Becker won top position with 1,101 votes. In addition to serving as mayor, Becker acts as commissioner of public safety.

 

amodeoFormer NJ Assemblyman; John Amodeo comes in 2nd with 1073 votes and wins his first commission seat in Margate. Amodeo recently served three terms in the NJ Assembly.

 

mblumbergIncumbent Commissioner Maury Blumberg wins a 3rd term with 1033 votes. Blumberg was first elected to the Margate Commission in 2007 and currently serves as commissioner of revenue and finance.

 

Incumbent commissioner Brenda Taube came in 4th with a very respectable 903 votes. With no immediate plans to return to public service, Taube told the ShoreNewsToday that she looks forward to continuing her work with Sustainable Margate, the city’s green team.

The top three will be sworn in at noon on May 19. Terms are 4 years in length. They will choose a mayor from amongst themselves.
