The upcoming Margate election on May 12 was front and center this morning on the “Hurley in the Morning” radio show on WPG1450am. According to Hurley, a statistically reliable poll was recently commissioned. The results are as follows:
- Mayor Mike Becker (who remains incredible popular in Margate) leads the field of 4 by a wide margin with (an astounding) more then 70 percent of the vote.
- Former 3-term New Jersey General Assemblyman John Amodeo is currently in second with about 53 percent of the vote.
- City Commissioners Brenda Taube (1-term incumbent City Commissioner) and Maury Blumberg (2-term incumbent City Commissioner) statistically tied, and, are neck-and-neck at approximately 36 percent and 35 percent, respectively.
- The top 3 finishers on election day, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, will become the new Margate City Commission for the next 4 years.
