Recently, Landgraf was honored to speak with sailors from the USS New Jersey, the newest US submarine.
The ‘fast attack’ nuclear sub will be commissioned into service by early 2024.
The USS New Jersey is a Virginia-class submarine. It’s the first submarine designed with a modification for gender integration.
Construction began in March 2016.
Lance Landgraf noted some USS New Jersey facts: It’s the first submarine designed and constructed for blended male and female crews.
Until it’s commissioning in 2024, sub referred to as PCU New Jersey (Pre Commission Unit).
Such an awesome experience getting to meet these young sailors, fine young men and women of the US Navy!
