Atlantic City Council and CRDA originally agreed to a reasonable ‘green zone’. These are pre-approved districts for setting up recreational marijuana stores.

The CRDA Green Zone includes the casino and tourism districts of Atlantic City.

AC Mayor Marty Small wants more. He’s now pushing to expand cannabis, city-wide, even in the residential, family-friendly 6th ward which includes Chelsea and Lower Chelsea.

WPG RADIO HURLEY: When AC council members George Tibbitt and Jesse Kurtz opposed the expansion, AC Mayor Small attempted to play the race card, charging that Tibbitt and Kurtz wanted to keep legal recreational marijuana out of only the 6th Ward of Atlantic City … which is a predominantly white section of Atlantic City.

Kurtz and Tibbitt want to protect all children, in all 6 wards of AC.

Will proliferation of legalized marijuana in Atlantic City help local economy? ‘Not likely’ say industry experts.

  1. This stuff is no good for anybody. It’s a lie to say it’s good for people, it just numbs the mind. Its also bad for your health not good. Can’t believe they are pushing this stuff.

also, it stinks bad and makes people lazy minded, just more ignorance being promoted to make money.

    1. Actually, no Robert there are definite medicinal benefits which us why is has been legalized or available via an RX. It’s funny you don’t seem to have any issue with the proliferation of bars and liquor stores in the same area (also legal) had alcohol has for more proven negative effects.

So why do you treat them differently?
