Former County Sheriff Eric Scheffler Appointed CRDA Chief

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has selected former Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler to become the next Executive Director of the CRDA, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

Joe O’Donoghue defeated Scheffler and became the new Sheriff in the recent general election.

The CRDA Exec Director position receives a $175,000 annual salary with premium benefits.

NJ CRDA distributes monies collected from Atlantic City casino tax revenue.

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority or CRDA is a New Jersey state governmental agency that was founded in 1984.

CRDA is responsible for directing the spending of casino reinvestment funds in public and private projects to benefit Atlantic City and other areas of the state.
