New Places to Play Pickleball Near Margate & Ventnor

Ventnor Employees Enjoying Pickleball Lessons

The Ventnor Pickleball courts next to the Boardwalk were busy this past summer. Having 7 courts, plus 2 temp courts came in handy with the larger crowds. Ventnor should see some court upgrades soon. No firm news on exactly how many upgrades, but broken divider nets are on top of that list. New benches and maybe some shaded areas.

Pickleball fever is spreading inside Ventnor City Hall. Ventnor Commissioner Lance Landgraf and a group of city employees paddled up recently.

Wellness coach Sari Applebaum and Ventnor Recreation Director Tina Prickett provided a few simple lessons.

Colder weather encourages some to find indoor pickleball courts.

Private functions, tournaments, league play and crazy busy summer weekends on the Ventnor courts. Occasional frustration for the growing number of players. Smart picklers have back-up places to play. Just in case.

Interested in a private function? Maybe with adult beverages right there on the awesome Ventnor Pickleball courts? Contact Special Events Coordinator Donna Peterson, 609-823-7919 or oem@police.ventnorcity.org. You can also reach out to Ventnor Commissioner Tim Kriebel at City Hall.

  1. Drove 2 hours. Came down for weekend to play pickleball with my girlfriends. A private party on the courts? What the hell? Couldn’t play. Why no heads up?

    1. You need to book courts in advance, totally ridiculous. I think they need to have some courts that are just first come first serve.

Not everyone is aware that you need to book courts in advance online, totally crazy
