A Master Plan can outline development goals and objectives for a community. It can identify suitable districts for commercial or housing developments, open space, recreational areas, environmental resources; historic and cultural resources; and transportation corridors and utilities.
A well-crafted Master Plan is one vital tool to protect the future of a community like Ventnor.
The City of Ventnor received a grant from the state to reexamine its Master Plan. By law a Master Plan must be reexamined every ten years.
The last Ventnor Master Plan was adopted in 2006.
Much has changed since 2006— economic conditions in the county have declined and Superstorm Sandy has required the City to become more resilient.
