Downbeach Joins Brigantine in Fight Against Offshore Wind

A few months back, foreign energy company ORSTED called it quits. They decided to bail out of their expensive offshore wind project in New Jersey.

But today, other so-called ‘green energy’ conglomerates like Atlantic Shores are still pushing their plans to build hundreds of 1,000 ft wind turbines of the South Jersey coast.

Massive wind farms could one day be erected a few miles off the beaches of Longport, Margate, Ventnor, Atlantic City, Ocean City and Brigantine.

  1. China has taken over the Wind turbine market by producing cheaply with no environmental regulations, Chinese slave labor and African child labor to mine metals.

China builds a coal plant every week and is the biggest producer of Carbon more than almost all other countries combine including the US. The software running these turbines are controlled by China.

Turbines often breakdown and would be beholden to China for parts to fix. Biden admin is spending billions to replace Chinese build cranes in our ports because of risk.https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/u-s-to-invest-billions-to-replace-china-made-cranes-at-nations-ports-d451ef8f

Orsted bailed because they can’t produce Turbines as cheaply as China who dominates market. So WAKE UP to the cost of China in our back yard controlling our energy and spying so Murphy can advance his brazen political ambitions to be president!

Please explain how China “builds a coal plant every week.”

I’ll refrain from discussing how your other comments conflate a variety of issues, which really have nothing to do with wind power.

Orsted bailed because the investment does not produce a sufficient return relative to their cost of capital.

I do not agree with wind turbines being planted in our oceans, but I also can’t let ignorance swim in those same waters.

  2. Against offshore wind farms. Put them on land somewhere, but leave our ocean alone. It’s already polluted enough with plastics and chemicals. Everyone at the shore should be up in arms about this.
