Promotions at Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May County

Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS), are pleased to announce the promotions of Lillian Whitcraft, LCSW, to Senior Director, Mental Health Services, and Samantha McManus, LSW, to Director, Mental Health Services, for the agency.

In this position, Lily is responsible for directing the agency’s Mental Health programs including Integrated Case Management Services (ICMS), Behavioral Health Home (BHH), Supportive Housing (SH), and Intake Services. In addition, she will supervise the Nurse Educator and Clinical Specialist.

Lillian Whitcraft

A six-year staff member, Lily previously held the position of Director, Community Support Services. In addition, she has served as JFS’ Community Support Services Supervisor, Outpatient Therapist, and Case Manager/CSS Clinician.

A graduate of Stockton University, Lily earned a Master of Social Work degree and Bachelor of Psychology degree. Last year, Lily was honored with the JFS Leadership Award for embodying the attributes to meet the needs of clients and staff with proactive communication, outstanding work ethic, and respect.

In 2018, Lily was honored with the Outstanding Service Award by her peers at JFS.

Samantha McManus

Working with Lily, Samantha McManus has been promoted to the position of Director, Mental Health Services. In this role, Samantha handles the day-to-day program management of ICMS, At-Risk Supportive Housing, and the Intake Services department. She will ensure the delivery of community-based care that is safe, efficient, and client-centered.

During her seven-and-a-half years as a JFS staff member, Samantha has held the positions of Associate Director of Admissions, Community Support Services Supervisor, Mental Health Justice Involved Services Case Manager, and Enhanced Supportive Housing Case Manager.

Samantha graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

“As mental health service leaders, Lily and Samantha have proven to maintain the qualities and abilities to be successful in each of their new positions. With the current surge of mental health support needed, their expertise will be essential to lead this critical agency department,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer.
