One down, two to go. Ventnor will soon auction off another retail consumption liquor license on Friday, Nov. 2nd. Ventnor Commissioners have set the minimum bid amount at $77,100.

Blake Barabuscio won the first license at $77,100. If Barabuscio passes a background check, he hopes to open a Santucci’s Original Square Pizza restaurant at the site of the soon-to-close, Arrow Hardware at 6415 Ventnor Ave.

The man behind the planned Ventnor Square Movie Theater, Brett DeNafo, wants to win that 2nd license. Food & adult beverages play a major role in this hi-tech, comfy seat, movie theatre project at the corner of Ventnor and Weymouth Aves.

Denafo is connected to the successful Harbor Square Theatre in Stone Harbor. DeNafo is also the Sales Manager at WIBG Radio, and is a former General Manager of Atlantic Broadcasting in Linwood.
