Report Reveals New Jersey’s Faulty Pandemic Response

The NJ Governor had too much unilateral power during the pandemic. That’s according to a scathing 910-page report released this week that faults planning, communication and decision-making before and during the Wuhan virus / Covid-9 pandemic, which broke out in early 2020.

Some call New Jersey’s response a ‘train wreck’.

Jack Ciattarelli (hoping to become NJ’s next governor) said ‘state government failed, especially when it came to nursing home residents, including veterans in state-operated facilities.’

New Jersey suffered the second-worst rate of death among all the states during the initial surge of the pandemic.

According to the report, the COVID-19 pandemic has serious negative impact on nursing homes, resulting in the loss of 16,256 lives through March 2022. During the initial four months of the pandemic, the virus claimed the lives of over 10,500 residents in these nursing facilities. This number represented 45% of the total COVID-19 deaths in New Jersey at the time.

REPORT: Pandemic shutdowns had disastrous effects on schools.

School closures not only led to lost learning for students, but huge burdens on families with school-age children whose parents had to figure out how to keep their children happy, healthy, and learning.

Many needed to do this while still doing their regular jobs and others needed to leave their jobs to be home to care for their children or ill family members. See video:

During the crisis, Gov Murphy lifted distancing and masking mandates for BLM protests and marches that sometimes led to riots and looting.

  1. And nobody was ever fired, jailed, or even apologized. Destroyed most lives for over two years.

Like those idiotic pixie glass shields in classrooms, being six feet apart, people removing non-compliant masks in restaurants to eat, on and on. All while they knew it was an airborne respiratory issue.

P.S. Those with immune issues or high risk comorbidities are/were always on alert. Not just for COVID.
