Barbecues are permitted on the beaches of Ventnor during the 4th of July weekend. Saturday July 2 through Monday, July 4.
Ventnor Fishing Pier Open to View Holiday Fireworks. The Ventnor Fishing Pier, Cambridge Ave and the Boardwalk will be open starting at 8p., Monday, July 4. This is a perfect place to see Margate’s fireworks just down the beach. No charge. Bring a beach chair.
Margate Beach Fireworks Display. Launched from the Huntington Ave beach at dark (approximately 9 P). Rain date is July 5th.
Margate also allows BBQ’s on the beach over the holiday weekend.
Family Fishing. The Keeper Fishing Boat sails twice daily at 8am and 1pm from its Amherst Ave. berth in Margate. The Keeper targets flounder, weakfish and bluefish in the back bay around Absecon Island. These four hour trips are a great way to spend some time fishing without the hassle of owning a boat. Seating to accommodate up to 50 passengers, sunshade and a restroom facility, you won’t find a more relaxing way to spend your day fishing in all of South Jersey.
