The Margate Beach Patrol will conduct their annual lifeguard tryouts for the 2023 Summer season.

All candidates must be 16 Years of age prior to August 1, 2023.
Completed applications returned to City Hall or email: gsmallwood@margatenj.com by 3:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2023.
NO application accepted after 3:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2023.
Completed applications must include doctor’s note and waiver. Failure to do so will result in candidate not being eligible to take lifeguard test.
Margate Lifeguard Test Components:
- 1-Mile Run under 7 mins, 30 secs to continue to next event.
- ¼ Mile Row – conditions permitting
- Interview
- ¼ Mile Swim
- Surf Dash
A prioritized list of candidates will be posted at Margate Beach Patrol Headquarters no later than Monday, June 12, 2023.
