CRDA Gives Blessing To New Cannabis Operations, Catholic Nuns Disrespected.

CRDA vs Catholic Nuns.

CRDA will burn in hell for this one. A group of Atlantic City nuns were told to get ready for sinfully new neighbors specializing in marijuana, technically known as cannabis.

CRDA has allowed two new cannabis dispensaries, aka weed stores, to operate a few steps from a convent and a youth / recovery services facility.

Residents in disbelief how many cannabis operations are being planned. More than 15 so far.

Lance Landgraf is Director of Planning and Development for CRDA, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

The CRDA effectively controls the Tourism District. This includes the so-called ‘Atlantic City Green Zone‘, pre-approved areas for cannabis operations.

Landgraf being accused by neighbors of allowing legal cannabis over-saturation, no property buffer or setbacks, no parking, and heightened neighborhood safety risks.

CRDA has dismissed well-documented increases of crime and vandalism.

Atlantic City already reeling from open-air drug sales, public marijuana usage and open-container alcohol use, often by teens.

Landgraf, also the Mayor of Ventnor, voted against cannabis sales in his town, right next door.

Kannibis ‘Kash’ McKinley was once an aspiring adult-film star.

Today, Kannabis Kash is Atlantic City’s Cannabis Czar, reporting directly to Mayor Marty Small.

Kash wants to make Atlantic City the East Coast hub for cannabis.

Members of nearby churches oppose plans endorsed by Landgraf and the CRDA board.

Atlantic City’s zoning rules provide for minimum distances for cannabis locations from schools, but not churches.

Buffer is needed only for schools, not church services, says Landgraf.

Questionable ‘Green Zone’ rules developed by Lance Landgraf, who oversees AC Tourism District.

CRDA transparency. Operating virtually in the dark for the past 3 years as CRDA stopped public in-person meetings, using remote phone conferences instead.

Atlantic City cannabis likely to be delivered legally to Downbeach areas of Ventnor, Margate and Longport, as well as Brigantine.

Landgraf and CRDA board also facing blame for dramatic increase of crime coming from unregulated STR market. Over 1,300 short-term rentals in the city without proper regulation or regular enforcement. Most illegally operating within the AC tourism district that CRDA controls.

Violent crime is so bad in Atlantic City, CRDA was forced to hire armed security for their offices on Pennsylvania Ave.

Note: Landgraf also provides assistance to Brigantine, encouraging ‘spot-zoning’ tactics that allow commercial short-term rental businesses to operate within residential zones.

Councilman Kaleem Shabazz and Atlantic County Commissioner Ernest Coursey have remained silent on the issue.

  1. You could infer from Langraffs position / approval in AC on cannabis that it is only a matter of time before he sells Ventnor to the cannabis political regime and child molester protectors known as “the smalls”. Get ready for the crime to flow into Ventnor if we don’t keep our politicians honest.

  2. This is an absolute disgrace! Not only for the City I was born and raised in but for the homeowners living close by and the nuns who are dedicating their lives to help the addicted people of the City. The higher ups should all be ashamed of themselves!

  3. What about the booze sellers?

I looked up location. Ducktown Bar and Liquor is right around the corner. Wonder why they oppose this location? I’m sure it’s for religious reasons. lol.

For those struggling with substance abuse, having access to alcohol is far more dangerous and addictive than cannabis. The actual physical side effects to the liver, heart, and other organs from alcohol are much worse than cannabis.

Physical withdrawal from alcohol is dangerous. Plus it kills indirectly from resulting violence and vehicular deaths.

Cannabis isn’t 100% safe either. Stoned driving is risky albeit not as bad as drunk bc drunk driving causes significantly worse motor impairment. Cannabis can be injected in edible form and not smoked which eliminates any risk to lungs.

Have the nuns spoken out against the bars nearby? The liquor stores? If this is truly about helping those struggling, we should remove the alcohol purveyors as well.

There are tons of unlicensed smoke shops all over the city (and nationwide) if you didn’t notice.

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, “hemp” was defined as cannabis <0.3% THC. The problem is, Congress failed to limit THCa which is the compound that when heated (smoked) converts to THC.

So these dummies accidentally federally “legalized“ weed already and it’s all over the place in unregulated stores.

  4. Ugh such a bad idea. Just what we don’t need around here, more stoned people. Wouldn’t it be better to scale up AC instead of scaling it down with drugs and riff raff!?

    1. Ah, the very narrow mind of thinking all cannabis users are riff raff. Especially those with medical approvals to use it. Newsflash – a lot of people you know are already taking it, you’re naive and ignorant if you’d like to ignore it.
