The D’Angelo brothers are best known for their popular Italian eatery on 20th st, near Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia.
D’Angelo’s Ristorante Italiano opened in February 1990. Sal works the dining room and welcomes guests while brother Tony works his magic in the kitchen.

Tony and Sal were born in Messina, Sicily and raised in Milan.
Sal & Tony moved to the U.S. in the late 60s. They both worked in the kitchen at the legendary, Jimmy’s Milan in Philadelphia.

During the summer you can find them on the beaches of Ventnor. They recently purchased a home there.
Most recently, Sal has been seen dominating opponents on the Ventnor pickleball courts.

Did you know? Salvatore was an extra in “The Godfather.”

I have an extended family today, because everybody comes in here. They’re not just the customer, they’re friends, says Salvatore D’Angelo. It’s very rewarding.
