The D’Angelo brothers are best known for their popular Italian eatery on 20th st, near Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia.
D’Angelo’s Ristorante Italiano opened in February 1990. Sal works the dining room and welcomes guests while brother Tony works his magic in the kitchen.
During the summer you can find them on the beaches of Ventnor. They recently purchased a home there.
Tony and Sal were born in Messina, Sicily and raised in Milan.
Sal & Tony moved to the U.S. in the late 60s. They both worked in the kitchen at the legendary, Jimmy’s Milan in Philadelphia.
Did you know? Salvatore was an extra in “The Godfather.”
Authentic Italian dishes. Many recipes coming straight from their mother’s kitchen.
“I have an extended family today, because everybody comes in here, they’re not just the customer, they’re friends,” says Salvatore D’Angelo. “It’s very rewarding.”
Most recently, Sal has been seen on the pickleball courts of Ventnor.
