On Thursday May 13 at 5:30p, Ventnor Commissioners will introduce two, marijuana-focused ordinances.
Ordinance introduction 2021-009: An ordinance of the City of Ventnor, County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey amending and supplementing Ventnor city code section 102-116 Prohibited uses to prohibit the location and operation of any class of Cannabis business within the geographical boundaries of the city of Ventnor.
Ordinance introduction 2021-010: an ordinance of the City of Ventnor, County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey amending and supplementing section 170 of the code of the city of Ventnor to prohibit the smoking of cannabis products in public places owned by the City of Ventnor

Pot, Sober houses and 10K property taxes………Way to go Ventrnor.
Taxes are a disgrace! Ventnor pays more than Margate, Longport, & OC….and for what?! Let’s get ppl in office who empathize rather than continuing to raise taxes. If I knew now what I didn’t know then, I would’ve never bought in Ventnor.

If 70% of voters are in favor of cannabis sales, they should vote in favor of allowing sales in Ventnor for consumption by adults on private property.

Frustrated – then sell your house in Ventnor, prices are at all time highs and inventory is low.
Still rather be in Ventnor before Margate. The population explosion in Margate sickens me. No to pot, no to sober houses, no Hansens and no to Demrats.
Focus on the 25+ Sober Living homes in Ventnor. Look at the 4 owned by Hansen on Austin Ave beach block.
Hansen asking for property tax exemptions. Hundreds of thousands of tax dollars will be lost for Ventnor.

Cannabis sales would increase tax revenues and perhaps lower our taxes. Let’s face it- homeowners could could all the help we can get. Besides, I have seen some gorgeous boutique stores in other states. I’m not picturing the head shops of the 70’s in Ventnor. We are not a party town as evidenced by the lack of interest in liquor licenses.
I agree no public use- as long as the law for cannabis is the same as alcohol. ( dining establishments excluded, of course)
If they bring pot into Ventnor it’s solely for another tax.. Tax on pot maybe so ridiculous in New Jersey that buyers may opt for the street dealer instead. Cash vs tax
