
The popular Ventnor Pier will soon get a much-needed makeover featuring new bathrooms and a concession stand.
The 1,000 ft. Ventnor pier at Cambridge Ave and the boardwalk. One of the last and longest fishing piers along the Jersey coast.
The Ventnor Fishing Pier concession stand will sell coffee, soda and snacks. A lease will be offered for someone to run the stand.
DEP permits have been issued. Work could start sometime this Spring.

Currently, there’s only one, single bathroom on the pier. By Summer 2020, there should be 3 bathrooms. Men, Women & family/ADA compliant.
- Men’s room will have 3 urinals & 1 stall
- Women’s room will have 3 stalls
- Family-room for those w/ small children. ADA compliant.
Fishing is permitted at far end of Ventnor Pier. A key card is needed to enter the enclosed, fenced in area. Cost for seasonal access is approx $175.
History of Ventnor Pier
- Originally built in 1914
- Rebuilt after a 1940 fire
- Rebuilt after 1963 storm
- $3.2 million makeover in 2007
Open 24 hours/day for fishing and sightseeing. Pier is staffed from mid-April thru September from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pier boasts benches, cleaning tables, and lighting for night-time fishing .
Security cameras will soon be installed to increase safety and security.
