When we bought our home in Ventnor we specifically chose an “R” or residential neighborhood as we would be having grandchildren staying through the summer.

We wanted to know who our neighbors were! We CHOSE NOT to live in a B & B or Hotel neighborhood for those reasons.

With the Airbnb rentals for less than even a week, this changes residential neighborhoods to transient or “hotel” type living.

Please consider at least one week rentals for residential zoned sections of town.

  2. Will not be following this at all. I make good money on 1 night stays and with another property under contract you can bet I’m doing all I can to maximize my summer profits! Even my 2-3 night stays crush it, the out of towners love it!

    1. …all the more reason to set limits, to restrict profiteers like yourself who could care less about the impact of their short term renters on others. Thanks for at least admitting you don’t care.

    2. You followed it enough to click on it and comment…. All to tell us you won’t be following it. Hoping the only thing that will be crushed is your ability to do what you’re bragging about with short term stays.

Maybe a dumb question… but does one week rental min vs one day rental min even change the economics of short term rental?

Like what are chances anyone really has more than one renter in a week? Isn’t all the demand on weekends to start with?

Not like many people are checking in on a Tuesday and checking out on Wednesday… you’re going to charge peanuts and then you have to clean the place…
