Margate is Year Round. Not Just Summer Destination

From PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY: Some might assume Margate is a seasonal town because of its beaches and influx of summer visitors, but the city actually has a vibrant, year-round downtown business district, which locals say is even better in the off-season.

“The off-season is actually the nicest time of year to visit because you don’t have to deal with the traffic, but all the stores are still open,” said Lou Freedman, owner of Bocca Coal Fired Bistro in the heart of downtown Margate.

Bocca is located on Ventnor Avenue amid a cluster of year-round businesses between Granville and Essex avenues, including several clothing boutiques and restaurants, two salons, two delis, two yoga studios, a liquor store, a candy store, a coffee shop, a post office, a hardware store and a specialty-item grocery store – Casel’s MarketPlace.
